Who turned out the lights? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I am on the home stretch of the craziness that was September. There are still a few days left, but come Friday, when I don't have to travel for a long time and only have one class to prep for this weekend, it's going to be heaven.

I hope you realize that I typically have more than one class on the weekend, two of them back-to-back on Saturday. I intentionally did NOT start the jacket class this month because I knew it would be silly from a timing perspective. That one starts in October. Yeah me! See -- I ...

Quilt retreat progress update from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

LOL - Your comments are so funny! I'll answer them individually this morning!

But seriously -- WAIZE versus Google Maps? Oh dear --- DH and I have this discussion all the time. I'm a Google Maps girl, and he likes WAIZE and never ceases to encourage me to use it. Well, I have had ZERO issues with Google Maps. Any app I use uses Google Maps, like Geocaching, and my house locator (shh -- used for spying, not moving!), and so I love Google Maps!

The issue with my car is that Android Auto seemed to be timing out - it had nothing ...

Quilt Canada Day Two from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

It was another insane day at Quilt Canada, but that's wonderful. It's so nice to see the enthusiasm and the pent-up excitement being released within the walls of Hall One! I have not been out of our booth much, and my head is swimming with ideas!

I did manage to get over to my concurrent show later in the afternoon, and I wish I could spend the entire show there, as it was exciting to see people's reactions to the show. My most profound appreciation to everyone who managed to get there to see the show, and ...

Dates to remember! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

If only everyone could have an attitude like Tammy's sister - "I will love it because I made it!" Seriously? How cool and practical is that? If only everyone had that in mind as they make things. And let's face it -- there are some things that we excel at and others we do not! Pick your battles.

It was an exciting day, and I have nothing to show you! I did paperwork in the morning and almost got all the follow-ups from the weekend out. And then it was the Virtual Retreat, and I was on that call all ...

You need space to bind a quilt from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I thought about the stride thing yesterday with my KMs, and it's NOT the stride. I did measure that way back when I got a FitBit. I tried to verify it last night, but do you think I could find that in the app? Nope!

The big issue is the translation from my FitBit records to the data on the Virtual Challenge site. It's sporadic, and I have no idea what's happening, but have a look and see what I mean.

The data from the Virtual Challenge website for the last two days

For comparison, my FitBit ...

The "to be quilted" pile from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Yesterday was the complete opposite of the previous day. I accomplished lots, and I went to bed, exhausted but happy, after walking over 20,000 steps.

Quite a bit still needed to be put away, so I got out my audiobook and got to work. I also had to start packing for Quilt Canada in one week, so as I was sorting and putting away, I pulled out the samples I needed for that show.

Stuff to put away

Of course, my faithful companion was right there with me, lying in the middle of the floor space. It doesn't ...

Sleepless in Halifax from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Seriously??? It's way past my bedtime, and I'm wide awake? Why? Because my hotel room faces a bustling night spot in the city, and the music is blaring, and I don't do well with music at night. I remember one campground we stayed at when we were cycling; someone was playing music, and even with earplugs, I couldn't sleep. The next day wasn't fun!

Party Central in Halifax

So what is one going to do? I could lay in bed and hope to fall asleep, but I'm restless as all get out, so that ...

A day of challenges! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Wait for it -- it was NOT a challenging day!

So the oatmeal is pretty bland this morning. After taking my afternoon to the library, I realized that I should have gone in the opposite direction to the grocery store to get almond milk and bananas. I did NOT have time to do a second walk. Guess where I'll be walking today?

I had to drop a book at the library and told myself I did NOT need to go in. I didn't even take my library card. I didn't spot anything on the highlighted shelves, but I ...

DH saves the day! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Wow -- this crazy week is almost over—lots of presentations and lots of prep.

Without getting too complicated about the process, I've been replicating slides or parts of slides in Powerpoint as part of the prep for the next one. The other day, I accidentally opened up a FINAL presentation and started to add and delete slides for another one. I FORGOT to give it a new name, and the next thing I knew, the file was being autosaved, and my FINAL presentation got wiped out. GRRRR

Well, it appears that even though I tell people to do that ...

Is moving an option? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

It seems that I'm spending more and more time on the computer! Why is that? I used to get up and head to the studio to sew and the last couple of weeks, I've gotten up and headed to the computer! I hope by the end of the week to be done with that routine. I miss that morning quiet sewing time and I always accomplished a TON of stuff.

I had a lot of class stuff to take care of this morning. I think I've got everything covered. If you signed up for Long Time Gone ...
